Transcend the existing 19

This series, produced during a period of confinement, has its roots in a material state of affairs: having to make do with what we have. And not liking to let things go to waste, recycling having been suspended during this period, the artist Christine Barone drew a good part of the necessary raw material from what should have been recycled.
But there is also behind the use of materials - which are both part of our daily lives and harmful to our environment - the desire to go beyond and question ourselves. Recycle, divert, re-create from what exists without ignoring it by burying it in a corner to try to forget it, transcend it and who knows, create another world? But with kindness, for us, for nature, here symbolized by the blue reminiscent of water, dear to the artist, and this gold, rising towards a virtuous future...
