Of gold and darkness

However dark our own darkness or that of the world around us, let us not allow ourselves to be swallowed up.
Within us we have gold.

Painting in continuity with “Brèche” and “Night and Light” where black predominates but where light shines through.

The artist Christine Barone has here exploited and amplified a detail of the painting "Of Night and Light" (upper left corner) by creating two spaces of textures in relief and matte in contrast with the Indian ink in the center, shiny like a mirror, smooth and deep black.
