“Fails” series

"Failure"... This word may seem harsh to name what we fail to achieve.
The artist Christine Barone uses this word to confront us with the harshness of our society
facing our faults and our weaknesses. While you must always be "on top" and not miss anything, Christine, on the contrary, exposes these failures, puts them center stage, wraps them in a benevolent blue,
in a golden patina, in a word: sublimes them.

So that her creations are intrinsically charged with all the weight of this symbolism, she uses the remains of previous paintings that failed and uses even her hair as if to sign them.
After all, aren’t our failures the starting point for much progress?
